Surgutneftegas eliminates consequences of ecological accident

​The works on the elimination of the spill of oil products and cleaning of the water are of Mokhovaya river in the Surgut district are almost completed.

On August 5th the rupture of the pipeline led to the pollution of the Mokhovaya river. Oil –spill booms were installed for over 3 km.

Simultaneously the works on the elimination of the explosion were held. The destructed part of the pipeline was cut off. The liquid was collected. The recovery of the ground of the passway was held. The oil containing liquid was sucked and the soil containing oil was taken away from the site.

5 multifunctional platforms are engaged in these works, 6 oil collection units and other equipment. About 60 people participate in the cleaning operations. The works are held in the 24 –hour mode.

The investigation of the reasons of the accident is held now.
