Wintershall did not come to a decision to participate in an expansion of Nord Stream so far

To date, Wintershall has not taken a decision on its participation in the construction of 1 or 2 additional branches for “Nord Stream”. A member of the Board of Management of Wintershall, the head of  Wintershall Russia, M.Meren said in an interview to ITAR-TASS.

“The shareholders of the project have studied a number of the variants of routes and discovered demand for an increase of gas imports to the European market in the long-term perspective. We analyze now, how far the projects can satisfy the long-term development plans of the company. There has  no decision taken on our participation in the project to date,” Meren said.
