The Ukraine asks for Norwegian gas

The Kiev authorities want to get going supplies of Norwegian gas to the Ukraine, the Ukrainian mass media transmits, talking about the meeting of Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Alexander Turchinov with his Norwegian counterpart Olemik Tommessen in the previous week. This meeting was held in Oslo within the European Conference of Parliaments Presidents.

In turn, head of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende told the newspaper Aftenposten that Norway would consider the Kiev’s request, but the granting of specific decisions rests with the Government.
