Gazprom reduces the extraction at Bovanenkovo

Gazprom adjusted the plan of the works at Bovanenkovo deposit for the next few years. As reported by the representative of the company, this year the extraction will make up only 30 billion cubic metres, next year – 40.8 billion cubic metres and in 2015 – 42.9 billion cubic metres. The previous planned results were 1.5-2 times higher: 46.3 billion cubic metres in 2013, 68.3 billion in 2014 and 89.5 billion in 2015.

“Gas consumption has reduced, our business development strategy has been adjusted on the part of the extraction”, the Head of Gazprom’s department for extraction of gas, gas condensate and oil, Vsevolod Cherepanov said. For the first nine months Gazprom has extracted 344.5 billion cubic metres of gas – by 2.1% less than in 2012 (the data of the Ministry of Energy). In 2012 the extraction of Gazprom made up 487 billion cubic metres, this year it was planned to extract 495.7 billion and in 2014 – 518 billion. The representative of Gazprom couldn’t say whether the above-mentioned extraction plan remained.
