Gazprom and CNOOC have signed a memorandum of cooperation at the shelf until December 31st 2016, Gazprom’s head, A. Miller, said.
We held negotiations upon oil and gas deposits, discussed the issues concerning the extraction at the shelf and onshore, electric energy issues, he said.
In November the companies signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
CNOOC is one of the 3 largest oil and gas companies of China. It holds extraction and development of deposits, extraction and sale of oil and gas in China. CNOOC has exclusive rights for the prospecting and exploration works and oil and gas extraction at the shelf of China. It is also the largest LNG imported in China.
