Gazprom has determined 11 thermal power plants in China where it plans to ship fuel
11 pilot projects of thermal power plants in China have been determined – Gazprom plans to ship fuel there, the chairman of Gazprom, A. Miller, said during the visit of the PM, D. Medvedev, to Beijing.
We have started to work with our partners from China in the sphere of electric energy. 11 stations have been determined – they might work on gas-vapor cycle, gas from Russia in future, Mr. Miller said.
Gazprom was reported to study an opportunity of construction of combined cycle electric generating plants in China aiming for the Russian gas supply to them. An opportunity of construction of new stations along the main gas pipelines from Russia to China and near the regas terminals is being considered.
Now about 66% of electric stations in China work on coal, gas stake is about 5%. The Government of China plans to replace coal generation based on the ecological grounds.
