Rosneft to get 2 sites in the Sea of Okhotsk, Lukoil – in Baltic Sea
In the near future the Ministry of Natural Resources will submit for approval to the Government the documents for the issue of licenses to Rosneft for 2 deposits at the shelf in the Sea of Okhotsk. The draft law on the issue of permission for the development of the Shantarsky and Magadan-4 sites was worked out by the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra). Rosneft will be issued licenses without an auction.
Moreover, the work on the preparation and issue of another 3 licenses for shelf deposits to Rosneft is held. These are the Vilkitsky-1 and Vilkitsky-2 sites in the East-Siberian Sea as well as Koryakia-1 in the Sea of Okhotsk.
The permission for the first two deposits Rosnedra prepared in June 2015. However, in July the Ministry of Natural Resources returned the projects for additional workout: Rosneft needed to specify the positions of the sites.
