Gazprom Neft has almost doubled the capacity of Central point of oil preparation at Badra deposit in Iraq

​The technological “B” line has been launched at the Central point of oil preparation at the Badra deposit in Iraq. The launch of the new infrastructure object will allow to increase the capacity of the Central point of oil preparation from 45 thousand to 85 thousand barrels of oil a day. The technological B line is meant for the cleaning and separation of hydrocarbons and is able to accept oil from all the wells of the Badra deposit.

The technological C line is planned to be put into operation in 2016 which will allow the Central point of oil preparation to reach the project capacity – 115 thousand barrels a day. Until the full loading the C line will be used as a reserve line so as to minimize the loss during the planned repair of the oil preparation unit.

In 2016 we plan to  complete the drilling of 4 new wells. The launch of the new technological line creates the infrastructure basis for the expansion of hydrocarbons extraction, CEO of Gazprom Neft-Development, D. Sugaipov, said.
