Novatek gets a good haul.

The company has received a new site on Gydan.

Novatek received third license on the Gydan peninsula – the Trehbugorniy site with probable reserves of more than 1 trillion cubic meters of gas – for 435 million roubles. The relatively low price is due to the remoteness of the area of infrastructure and lack of proven reserves. According to analysts, if Novatek finds the deposit large enough for the commencement of commercial production, the gas may be directed to expand the "Yamal LNG" project. But this would require a change in legislation.
