FAS supports the government's plans to abolish extra charge for export of rolled metal products, introduced by the Russian Railways

The Russian Government will discuss the abolition of export raise by 13.4%, introduced by the Russian Railways for transportation of steel products. Vice-premier A.Dvorkovich stated at the sectorial meeting in Magnitogorsk. He has promised to “explore the issue more carefully”. The subject was on the agenda of the meeting. Russia annually exports 25-28 million tons of rolled steel and produces 60-65 million tons. The share of transportation costs in the prime cost of steel makers increased to 15% in 2015 from 10%, according to “Kommersant”.
