The gas from the largest deposit in the Irkutsk region will become a resource base for the main gas pipeline “Sila Sibiri”.
“Gazprom” has prepared a technical scheme of development of the Kovykta gas condensate field. According to the plans, it will become the basic field of the Irkutsk gas production center and a resource base for the main gas pipeline “Sila Sibiri”, via which gas will be supplied to China, RIA “Novosti” reports citing information agency IrkutskMedia.
