KazMunaiGaz opened 2 large oil fields on the Caspian Sea

The expansion of hydrocarbon reserves is one of the key targets for future development of Kazakhstan. To date there has been confirmed an opening of 2 more deposits on the Caspian Sea with a participation of a national company “KazMunaiGaz” and strategic partners for the first time after the opening of Kashagan. They have presented reserves estimates of the deposits Khazar (Zhemchuzhina block) and Kalamkas-more, located at the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea, at the State Reserves Committee of the Committee for Geology and Subsurface resources of the Ministry of Industry and New technologies of the republic of Kazakhstan.
