Supreme Economic Court of the Ukraine proved nationalization of Transneft’s pipe to be legal
The Supreme Economic Court of the Ukraine has left unchanged the decision of Courts of previous instances that the Ukraine has the property right for the sites of oil products pipelines “Samara-Western direction” and “Grozny-Armavir-Trudovaya” with the total length of 1 thousand 433 km, the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office reports.
Transneft (Russia) put in question this decision. It hoped the Court of higher instance will make a more balanced decision than the Rovnensky Court of Appeal.
“The Cassation Court, having considered the case on March 17th 2015, agreed with the arguments of the Prosecutor and left the decisions of the Courts unchanged”, is reported. The Ukraine thinks that the sites of the oil products pipelines were illegally registered for “Prikarpatzapadtrans” controlled by Transneft.
