Alabuga-Volokno to provide for the needs of the Russian carbon fibre market

On May 15, 2015, plant Alabuga-volokno for the production of carbon fiber was launched in Alabuga in Tatarstan. The enterprise was founded by holding company Composite by order of Rosatom. Reached its full capacity, the plant will allow Russia to take 2% of the global carbon fiber market.

The ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the first deputy general director of Rosatom Alexander Lokshin, general director of Composite Leonid Melamed, director of the Department of Chemical Technology and Timber Industry of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Vladimir Potapkin, general director of Alabuga Timur Shigavaleev.
