Kazakhstani gas is of interest to Switzerland

The Swiss Confederation imports pipeline natural gas from various countries. About 20-25% of the import arrives from the Russian Federation, mainly, from Germany.

About 60% of demand for gas is met at the expense of supplies from the EU, Norway and Algeria. Switzerland has become large consumer of natural gas from the republic of Kazakhstan since this year.
