Expert: LNG from Shtokman may be demanded in Europe only after 2020

Today the Board of Directors of Gazprom will discuss the destiny of the Shtokman deposit with reserves of 4 trillion cubic m of gas, Kommersant writes. They are going to speak out the first stage of Shtokman development. Gazprom was going to make LNG at the platform nearby the deposit or at the Barents Sea coast, a source in ITAR-TASS says. Now the concern will study the opportunity for gas transporting from Shtokman to the sole gas supplying system (ESG) for further exports to Europe via the new branches of Nord Stream.
