Azerbaijan reduces the export of oil and increases the export of gas

In the first five months of this year, Azerbaijan exported over 14.316 million tons of crude oil to world markets. This is by 0.4% less than in the same period of the previous year, the State Customs Committee reports

According to counters, in January-May a little more than 11.831 million tons of oil were exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, including 933.519 thousand tons of gas condensate from the Shah Deniz field, a little more than 1.7 million tons via the Baku-Supsa pipeline and 424.085 thousand tons via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. Small volumes - 357.263 thousand tons – were exported by rail to Georgian ports.

According to the Customs’ data, the declared amount of oil, exported in the reporting period, made up over 10.34 million tons to the amount of over $8.210 billion. In the January-May, the exports of oil products amounted to 574.304 thousand tons to the amount of $415.7 million.
