Failure of gas negotiations and termination of gas supplies to the Ukraine not to lead to repetition of gas war-2009

The latest round of gas negotiations between Russia and the Ukraine have officially failed, and Gazprom has introduced a prepayment model for Naftogaz Ukrainy. In this connection, there is a threat of interruption of Russian gas supply to European consumers, but analysts believe that many factors show that we shouldn’t expect a repetition of the gas crisis of the beginning of 2009, the Xinhua reports.
