Gazprom asks to increase tariffs by 9-10% next year

The chairman of the Board of Directors of “Gazprom”, V.Zubkov sent a letter to the Prime Minister D.Medvedev proposing to increase the tariffs of the gas concern by 3-4% above inflation in 2015. Vedomosti reports citing two federal authorities.

Zubkov writes that the indexing of tariffs of Gazprom above inflation will contribute the company to reach of equal-netback domestic and export pricing and finance the investment programme, one of the companions states. It was planned to be done by 2015, but the term has been postponed until 2018.

Another monopoly, RZhD, also asks for an increase of tariffs. The head of the company V.Yakunin sent a letter to the RF president V.Putin asking for an increase of tariffs on cargo traffic by more than 6% in 2015.
