Rosneft and Statoil discuss joint project on geological exploration

The president of an oil company Rosneft I.Sechin has held negotiations with the chief operation officer for Statoil, Helge Lund. The parties have discussed joint projects on geological exploration at the Russian continental shelf on the Barents and the Sea of Okhotsk as well as the projects on the development of domanic deposits at the licensed sites of “Rosneft” in the Samara region.
In May 2012, OJSC “Rosneft” and Statoil signed an agreement on strategic cooperation, which considers the joint development of 4 licensed sites on the Barents and the Sea of Okhotsk.
