"South Stream" to flow to the Crimea.

A branch from the "South Stream" pipelineis enough to supply gas to the Crimea. The pipeline could be built within two years, Oleg Savelyev, the Minister for the Crimea Affairs, stated.

"According to the Ministry of Energy data, the pipe is supposed to pass there. This is possible within two years, but clearly not in 2014, because this year is associated with the design of the project, the pipe will be from the "South Stream" - RIA Novosti quoted Savelyev. According to the minister the high pressure pipeline can be built at the expense of "Gazprom".

Previously, the experts have suggested two options for the Crimea gas. Andrey Ilyin, the General Director of "Chernomorneftegaz", stated about the possibility of a pipeline across the Kuban bandwidth up to two billion cubic meters, which should be completed by January 2016. Also the option of building a gas pipeline from Anapa was offered, where the sea part of the "South Stream" begins. In this case, its length is only 110 kilometers, and the construction cost is much smaller - just over $ 200 million.
