India to invest $400 million into geological exploration of hydrocarbons on shelf of Kazakhstan

India will invest $400 million in geological exploration of oil and gas in Kazakhstan and will also calculate options for their delivery on their market. The decision was made by results of the 12th meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation in New Delhi.

Investments will be made by ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), a division of the state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
