Metallurgical enterprises of the Ukraine increase their pretax loss to $1 billion

In January-June 2014, metallurgical enterprises of the Ukraine increased their pretax loss two times as compared to the same period of 2013 - from 6.2 billion hryvnias to 12.7 billion hryvnias, the minutes of the balance meeting of the Ukrainian mining enterprises’ representatives report.

It is reported that net income (revenues) from sales increased by 13.9 billion hryvnias (16.2%) as compared to the same period of 2013 to 86.1 billion hryvnias.

At the same time, the volume of sales in physical terms fell by 7%, and the prices of ferrous rolled metals increased by 19% on the average (in hryvnia equivalent).
