Transneft completes construction of the first stage of Zapolyarie-Purpe main oil pipeline

Transneft has completed works within construction of the first stage of the Zapolyarie-Purpe main oil pipeline.
The oil pipeline ready to be filled with oil, vice president of Transneft, A.Sapsay reported.
The length of the section of the first stage is 134 km.
"As for the second stage: 212 km of the route have been welded, we prepare to carry out hydraulic testing. To date, 97km of 178 km of the pipe under the third stage of the main oil pipeline have been welded,"- he said.
According to A.Sapsay, Transneft considers environmental aspects during the works. "Using the latest innovative solutions, we aim to organize the work of all facilities as safe as possible for the ecosystem and the indigenous inhabitants of the tundra," - he said.
