Conflict between Gazprom and minority shareholders of gas distribution companies around shares comes to level of subsidiary

The conflict between Gazprom and the minority shareholders of the gas distribution companies, which require the redemption of their shares for 8 billion rubles, could be delayed indefinitely. Gazprom, which hasn’t yet been able to beat off the Central Bank in the courts – it insists on an offer, sold the shares in eight companies to its subsidiary Gazprom gas distribution. Now, experts say, the minority shareholders and the Central Bank will have to re-run the procedure for the buyback requirements, and last time the proceedings were delayed for almost two years.
