Gazprom will get new licenses in Tajikistan

The Gazprom delegation represented by the Chairman of Management Board, A. Miller and the CEO of Gazprom International, V. Gulyayev has visited Tajikistan today. During the visit, Mr. Miller has held a working meeting with the President of Tajikistan, E. Rakhmon.

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the energy sphere. In particular, they positively evaluate the work of Gazprom in geological exploration in Tajikistan. By now Gazprom has completed the drilling of super-deep prospecting and evaluation well at Shakhrinav-1p and began its testing. Besides from that, they stated that validity of the licenses for hydrocarbons prospecting and exploration by Gazprom was prolonged by 5 years. The sides agreed that in near time Gazprom will be granted the licenses for new perspective sites in Tajikistan.
