Kazakhstan needs explore new oil and gas fields in the next 10-15 years

The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev finds it necessary to intensify geological exploration of new oil and gas reserves, along with the increase in the depth of the processing. He stated this today at the meeting with heads of the western regions of the country.

"Even such major fields as Tengiz and Karachaganak will reach peak production in 10-15 years. And if in the meantime we don’t explore new fields, the consequences will be severe," – the press centre quoted the Head of state.
