Lukoil has held negotiations on oil extraction in Iran

​Lukoil’s President, V. Alekperov, and deputy Minister of Iran, A. Khossein Zamaniniya, held negotiations dedicated to the “cooperation on the rise of productivity of oil extraction, recovery of oil and exploration of new deposits of oil in Iran”. Lukoil showed its readiness to start the realization of projects on the growth of oil extraction in Iran.

On September 14th V. Alekperov said that Lukoil is preparing to the start investing into the oil and gas projects in Iran after the cancellation of sanctions. According to him, this region is strategic for the company and Lukoil has an agreement with the Ministry of Oil of Iran on the study of a number of oil bearing provinces.

Alekperov also hoped that at the cancellation of sanctions for investment in Iran, Lukoil will be the most prepared from the geological and technological points of view for the active investment cycle.
