Rosnedra considers 11 applications of Rosneft and Gazprom for the sites

​The Minister of Natural Resources, S. Donskoi, said that applications for license issue for the development of sites at the continental shelf of Russia have been submitted to Rosnedra. There are Government regulations by the four applications that were previously submitted.

Rosnedra currently considers 11 applications from Rosneft and Gazprom for the issue of licenses for the sites at the continental shelf, S. Donskoi said.

Now only Gazprom and Rosneft carry out works at the shelf according to the legislation. Rosneft holds 51 license, Gazprom -40. 4 licenses are at the stage of issue.

The Ministry of Natural Resources was reported to have approved the license issue to Rosneft for the Gusinozemelsky site in the Barents Sea, Olyutorsky and Khatyrsky – in the Bering Sea, to Gazprom for the Sharapovsky site in the Kara Sea. The companies may be issued licenses for the sites within a month.
