Rosneft takes part in a conference on the development of continental shelf’s resources

Rosneft’s delegation has taken part in the 12th international conference on the development of the continental shelf’s resources RAO / CIS OFFSHORE, the press centre of the company reports.
Rosneft is the largest user of mineral resources on the continental shelf of Russia. The company implements projects for the development of hydrocarbon resources in 51 license areas of the shelf (including 26 licenses on the Arctic shelf) with the estimated resource base of 309 billion barrels of oil equivalent. At the beginning of 2015, all license obligations of the company on the offshore areas are carried out in full. For most projects the general trend is to accelerate the implementation of geological exploration with a substantial excess of the volumes, defined by the licenses. As of January the 1st, 2015, the company exceeded its license obligations on the offshore areas in terms of 2D and 3D seismic survey 3.5 times, on terms of aeromagnetic exploration 3.6 times, in terms of drilling the commitments were fulfilled with excess of 2 wells. Currently, there is a preparation for exploratory drilling in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk in 2016.
