Turkish Stream or Turkish deadlock?

This week it was announced that the launch date of the first line of Turkish Stream would be shifted to the uncertainty.

This was reported by deputy chairman of the Gazprom’s Board Alexander Medvedev, who explained this with the current political crisis in Turkey.

Let’s recall that in December last year, Gazprom and the Turkish company Botas signed a memorandum of understanding on construction of the gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea. The decision to build the gas pipeline under the symbolic title "Turkish Stream" was made during the last year's visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Ankara. Then a statement on the refusal of the South Stream gas pipeline in EU countries "due to non-constructive policy of the EU" was also made.
