In the first 9 months, steel production in Kazakhstan fell by 18%

In January-September of 2013, Kazakhstan decreased smelting of crude steel by 18% as compared with the same period of 2012 to 2.497 million tons, the country’s State Statistics Committee reports.

In September, Kazakh metallurgic enterprise decreased the steel production by 15.2% as compared with the same period of the last year to 329.5 thousand tons, but increased it by 25.5% as compared with August of 2013.
