Russia is interested in participation in the repair of objects of electric energy system of Bulgaria

​The Minister of Energy, A. Novak, and Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, T. Petkova, in the framework of the meeting in Moscow on Tuesday confirmed their further execution of the long-term contracts on the supply and transit of gas from Russia via Bulgaria.

The cooperation of 2 countries in the energy sector was discussed at the meeting. According to T. Petkova, Russia is a strategic partner for the energy sector of Bulgaria and is a large supplier of energy resources. Both parties confirmed the necessity to go on the execution of the long-term gas supply and gas transit contracts.

The electric energy issues were also discussed. T. Petkova informed A. Novak of the coming construction and repair of objects of the electric energy system of Bulgaria. The majority of the engaged units of equipment is from Russia.

According to Mr. Novak, Russian companies are interested in the participation in the future construction and repair works.
