NTMP hopes for increase of the Taman port project

According to the renewed long-term development program of NTMP until 2018, the volume of investment until 2018 will make up 44 bln roubles, 30.3 bln of which – private funds, 13.7 bln  - Government funds that will be spent for the deepening of the bottom and hydraulics works. According to Kommersant, the program has been considered by the state bodies and on December 26th will be presented to the group’s Board of Directors.

The renewed strategy of NTMP has a changed forecast by cargo turnover. It was previously planned that by 2020 the group would increase the volume of transshipment by 14-16 mln tons, in the new variant – by 29 mln to 53.1 mln tons. The growth is planned to be reached by means of construction of the terminal of mineral fertilizers with the value of 4.2 bln roubles which is to provide the additional 5 mln tons, reconstruction of a grain terminal which will cost 5 bln roubles and will give a growth of 2-5 mln tons. Moreover, a terminal should be reconstructed for the terminal of bulk cargo as well as 3 container terminals should be expanded, that will give another 575 thousand TEU. The investment is assessed at 11.4 bln roubles.
