Irkutsk Oil Company has purchased a deposit in Irkutsk region

Irkutsk Oil Company won the auction for the right to use the subsoil at the Verkhnenepsky (Northern) site in the Irkutsk region. The company will hold geological exploration at the deposit and extract hydrocarbons.

The forecast hydrocarbons resources at the Verkhnenepsky site make up: D1 oil – 9.4 mln tons, D2-4.9 mln tons, D1 gas – 27.4 bln cubic m, D2-5.6 bln cubic m.

The site borders the license objects already being developed by the Irkutsk Oil Company and is located on the territory of the Katangsky and Ust-Ilimsky districts of the Irkutsk region.

Irkutsk Oil Company comprises a group of companies that hold geological study, exploration and hydrocarbons extraction at 23 license sites in the Eastern Siberia. From 2011 Irkutsk Oil Company has been shipping oil to ESPO. Today Irkutsk Oil Company is in the top-20 largest Russian oil companies by the hydrocarbons reserves. In the past 7 years Irkutsk Oil Company GC discovered 7 new hydrocarbons deposits in the Irkutsk region.
