LUKOIL applied for a number of deposits on the Norwegian shelf as operator of two blocks - as a participant, told the company president Vagit Alekperov.

 "We are verified by the operator for the class" A ".  We have submitted to a number of blocks of the operators on the two units as participants in these projects," – Alekperov stated.

 He noted that a significant compensation costs for exploration in Norway makes the operations in these deposits very attractive. In addition, the deposits on the Norwegian shelf geologically similar to the Russian Federation. "But that does not mean that if we are not allowed through the door, then we go through the gate," - said Alekperov, referring to the lack of ability of private companies to work on the shelf of the Russian Federation.
