Tariff of gas transit through the Ukraine may grow 3 times

The tariff for the transit of Russian gas through the Ukraine can grow almost three times. Kiev intends to use a new methodology of calculation, according to which the transportation of gas from Russia to Europe will cost $7.91 per 1 thousand cubic meters per 100 kilometers.

However, for a while there are no any concrete decisions, the current rate is $2.7. Naftogaz has just published a report, in which offered Gazprom to negotiate on this issue. At the moment, according to the publication, it is about raising the tariff rate from $2.37 to $4.07 per 1 thousand cubic meters plus VAT on transit services at the rate of 20%, introduced by Kiev on January 1. On the whole, $4.9 per 1 thousand cubic meters per 100 kilometers.
