The Government has offered to create non-ferrous metal exchange

The deputy Minister of Economic Development O.Fomicheva sent a letter to the RF Government suggesting a creation of non-ferrous metal exchange. The project is to change price formation on the Russian market in the medium term, in particular, decrease domestic prices on copper and aluminium, Vedomosti writes.

“The Ministry of Economic Development proceeds from the necessity to attach domestic prices on non-ferrous metal to rouble, a companion from one of the metallurgical companies says. To date, the prices are attached to quotation on the London Metal Exchange (LME). They increased in rouble equivalent because of devaluation.
