In 2014, UC Rusal to invest $600 million
In the current year, the UC Rusal’s investment program is planned to be $600 million that corresponds the rate of 2013, the company’s director of finance, Alexandra Buriko reported to the Interfax. “In the first place, this is the maintenance of industrial facilities. On the second, we have high-margin projects on the production of value-added products (alloys, ingots, rolled wire)”.
“Such projects are quickly covered. Thirdly, this is item of ecological rates at our plants,” – Buriko told.
According to her, the company implements programs that will allow it to reduce emissions. In particular, a program of “ekosoderberg” is implemented at the Krasnoyarsk plant and, as it is expected, a similar project will be started at the Bratsk plant.
