Lukoil to start the construction of Kandym GPP in Uzbekistan

​Lukoil has started the construction of the Kandym gas processing plant (GPP) in Uzbekistan – the key production object in the framework of development of the Kandym group of gas condensate deposits located in the Bukhara region in the south-west of the country.

In the framework of construction of the Kandym GPP a gas processing plant with the capacity of 8.1 bln cubic m of gas a year will be constructed, as well as the system of gas collection which at the stage of full development comprises 114 extraction wells, 11 multi-well pads and 4 collection points. 370 km of gas pipelines and 160 km of roads will be constructed. About 7 thousand people are planned to be engaged at the peak of construction.

Lukoil realizes the project of development of the Kandym group of deposits along with Uzbekneftegas in the framework of the PSA Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad. The Kandym group comprises 6 gas condensate deposits – Kandym, Kuvachi-Alat, Akkum, Parsankul, Khoji and Western Khoji.
