Oilfield companies of Kazakhstan to be supported till 2021

Oilfield service companies of Kazakhstan will be provided with state support until 2021. This was announced by executive director of the Union of Oilfield Service Companies of Kazakhstan Nurlan Zhumagulov.

"It is a requirement of the WTO, EEU, and in the future we won’t be able to support the Kazakhstani producers. But there is a transition period until 2021. All existing contracts, on which there are obligation on goods, works and services, all these liabilities will be retained until 2021. There is time our local companies to be able to compete, there is time for the state to provide the full support to existing and prospective Kazakhstani producers," - said N.Zhumagulov.
