Rosneft plans to get large field in Latin America. And it to spend not modest amount for it

Rosneft plans to take full control over the large field of Solimoins in the region of Amazon River. The state corporation waits for approval of the Brazilian authorities, the press centre of the company reported.
The deal was concluded by Rosneft Brasil (100% subsidiary of Rosneft) and PetroRio. Rosneft Brasil will receive 55% equity interest in the project of Solimoins. The transaction will be closed upon receipt of approval from the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels of Brazil, which is expected in mid-year.
