Gazprom saved plans on putting South-Kirinsky deposit into operation

Meanwhile Gazprom saved its plans on the putting of the South-Kirinsky deposit into operation which is to become the basis of the Sakhalin center of gas extraction, a member of Gazprom’s Board, V. Cherepanov, said.

The research works are being held. We planned to start drilling in 2017 and put it into operation at the end of 2021-beginning of 2022. We haven’t changed our plans as yet. Any plan is corrected dependent on the current situation, he said.

In the framework of realization of the program of foundation of a single system of gas extraction in the Eastern Siberia and Far East, gas pumping and gas supply taking into account gas export to the markets of China and other countries of the APR, Gazprom has formed the Sakhalin center of gas extraction. The basis of the Sakhalin center is the Kirinsky and South-Kirinsky deposits developed in the framework of Sakhalin-3. It is planned to produce 21 bln cubic m of gas there (the fund of operational wells is 37 wells). 

 It is planned to reach the project capacity at the 11th year of development of the deposit.
