Oil extraction in monetary terms again grows in Kazakhstan

​After a fall in 2015 the oil extraction in Kazakhstan in monetary terms has started to grow: in January-April 2016 it made up 2.1 trln tenge. This is by 14% higher than in Jan-April 2015.

Meanwhile in natural terms there is a slight fall of oil extraction in Kazakhstan – by 2.2% a year.

In January-April 2015 oil extraction in Kazakhstan in monetary terms fell by 45.1% against January-April 201.

In general in 2015 the volume of extraction in monetary terms fell by 37.7%.

Previously there was a 1-4% growth a year in the sector.

The latest significant oil extraction growth in Kazakhstan took place in 2011 – by 38.4% against 2010.

In January-April 2016 oil extraction made up 37.9% of the total volume of industrial production in Kazakhstan (40.3% in January-April 2015).

In January-February 2016 over 81% of the total volume of extracted crude oil and produced in Kazakhstan oil products were exported.
