UC RusAl to reduce aluminium production by 9% in 2013

The programme on the special reduction of production is carried out to enable the company to reduce costs and increase its margins
The Board of Directors of “UC RusAl” have confirmed the programme on the extra reduction of the production volume in order to reduce expenditures and increase margins. According to the plans of the company aluminium production is to reduce by 357 thousand tons or 9% in 2013 against 2012 (4.17 million tons).The entire effect from the implementation of the programme is expected in 2014. It is said in a statement of the company.
