Yakutia prepares for construction of gas pipeline to China

Yakutia’s shipping companies have started the transportation of pipes for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which will be constructed from the Irkutsk region to Vladivostok with a branch to China.

Pipes are delivered by rail to the station "Lena", located in the Irkutsk region on the administrative border with Yakutia. A freight car contains only four pipes, each of which weighs nine tons. They are loaded onto vessels at the river port Osetrovo and then will be delivered to the place of destination via the Lena River.

The press centre of the Lena United River Shipping Company notes that 140 freight cars with cargo for the future gas pipeline are currently at the station "Lena" or near it.
