The EU is ruled by political considerations in issue of South Stream and OPAL

European leaders are guided more by political than practical considerations regarding the South Stream and OPAL gas pipelines, the former Minister of Economy and Energy of Bulgaria, D.Stoynev stated.

"I know that the European Commission postponed a decision on OPAL to the end of October 2014, and I believe that it is political. The final decision is likely to be already made by the new composition of the EC, - he said. - At the meeting with the European Commissioner for Energy, G. Oettinger I insisted on the need to exclude OPAL from the Third Energy Package, it would give more opportunities to take similar decisions on South Stream too".
