Evraz intends to increase export of steel semi-finished goods

​In July-September 2015 the consolidated steel output at the metallurgical enterprises of Evraz plc. made up 3.49 mln tons – by 3.3% more than in Q2. The reason is the completion of repair works at the metallurgical plant in Russia, the press service of the company reports.

“The consolidated steel production, excluding rerolling volumes, stayed at the same level as in Q2 2015. The stake of steel products in the total volume of production rose from 65% in Q2 2015 to 69% in Q3 2015 due to the seasonal growth of demand for construction metal rolled products in Russia and improvement of demand for route pipes in North America”, is reported.

In Jan-September steel production fell by 7.4% to 10.79 mln tons. in Q4 steel making at the metallurgical enterprises in Russia stays at the level of 2014, and the output of steel semi-finished goods for export might grow due to the seasonal weakening of demand.
