Sakhalin covered gas extraction fall by oil in 2015

​The oil companies of Sakhalin in Jan-September 2015 extracted 12.3 mln tons of oil – by 15% more than in Jan-September 2014.

Oil extraction, including gas condensate, made up 12.3 mln tons, which is by 14.8% more than in Jan-September 2014.

Gas extraction fell by 0.5% to make up 20.7 bln cubic m.

The reduction of gas extraction was explained by the reduction of gas extraction from oil wells at Sahalin-1.

In 2015 oil companies of Sakhalin intended to extract 15 mln tons of oil and over 28 bln cubic m of gas.

It is planned to increase oil extraction by 30% until 2020, gas extraction – by 50%.

By August 2015 gas extraction in Sakhalin fell.
