In 2014, Russia will maintain oil production at the planned level in the amount of 520 million tons or will exceed it a little,Reuters reports, referring to the Deputy Minister of Energy, Anatoly Yanovsky.

“As far as I know, an insignificant increase is possible, but in general we can expect the level of this year – about 522-523 million tons (roughly 10.4 million barrels per day),” – he said during the conference on the South Stream gas pipeline project in Budapest.

Russia that receives the majority of its budget income from sale of oil and gas, strives to maintain the production at the level of at least 10 million barrels per day and the Government introduced a number of tax concessions for this.
